*What is considered a half/half player?
A player is considered half/half if he falls at least under one of the following categories: Mixed Nationality - Has any asian heritage in his bloodline (half asian and half non-asian). For example, having a (biological) asian parent and a non-asian parent. By Marriage - SBLeague considers a non-asian player to be half/half if the player is legally and officially married to an asian person. Proof of marriage may be required at anytime. By Birth - If you were born in an asian country - regardless of your heritage, you are considered half/half since you are a natural born citizen of the asian country you were born in. Grandfathered exemption (extremely rare) - A player may be allowed to play in a no ringer-no half/half division if the said player has been playing in the league for a number of years, and is known throughout the league by his peers and the officials. However, this is a very extremely rare occasion and it is quite seldom that a player be granted the Grandfathered exception. (Being grandfathered also means your skills - or lack thereof - are not a factor at all and cannot possibly affect a game, whether you play in it or not.) Grandfather rule clarification All players must have played in SBLeague for seven (7) years OR 14 seasons (2 seasons in one calendar year) in order to be considered for the grandfather exception. All other players and teams must abide by the ringer and half/half classifications in each of their respective divisions.
