Attention All Teams
League fees must be paid in full by your team's fourth game,
NO EXCEPTIONS.
2012 Winter Season Schedule
Week 4 schedule is now available. We are
still using Cabrillo High School and Normandale Rec Center for
this week (click
here
for gym directions). The standings will be updated shortly.
For Cabrillo HS North Gym: From
Santa Fe Ave, turn west on Hill St and enter school through
gate next to football field.
Team
Rosters
All team captains
need to submit their team rosters in person to any SBLeague
personnel or via email to
southbayleague@yahoo.com to
ensure player eligibility. Any player not listed on your
roster will not be able to play; roster changes can be made
until the fifth (5th) game of the regular season.

Team Pictures
All teams have to submit a team picture for player
identification purposes. Team pictures are due
before your fifth game - no pictures, no
play. No Exceptions.
Team pictures must be printed out and given to Tom Gonzales
directly. Do not send your team pictures via e-mail as they
will not be valid.

Rule Changes
(effective 2011 Spring Season - present)

Copper Ringer Rule:
All Copper teams will be allowed to add one ringer (6'0" and
under) to their roster for the 2011 Spring Season. This is
due to the Middle Division teams combining with Copper this
season.
The new Ringer Rule will replace the current "Additional
half/half" Player Rule.
- Playoff Roster: Teams may no longer
replace an injured player with another player for the
postseason. All players must have played five (5) regular
season games in order to be eligible for the playoffs.
- The ball
may now be advanced to the front court after the two-minute
mark of each half
after a timeout.
- Players are allowed to play in
ONE Division
for two (2) teams maximum only
- this includes team captains, coaches, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.
(Captains that belong to
teams in different divisions has to choose one team to play
in for the entire 2011 Spring Season - no switching back and
forth).
- No two players
from the same team can join and play together in another
team. (Example: John and David cannot play for both Jets and
Giants). A fine of $30.00 will be imposed to all violators,
see
League Rules.
- The grandfather clause in player eligibility can no
longer apply for any player - NO EXCEPTIONS.
- No
uniform/no number means no play. Jerseys have to be
identical in color (shorts may be different color but a
technical foul will be assessed). Taped numbers are not
allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Any
player caught using tobacco at any of the gym facilities
will be banned from SBLeague, INCLUDING ALL TEAMS THAT HE'S
ASSOCIATED WITH. NO EXCEPTIONS. The player along with
his team will be removed from the League for the rest of the
season and/or until further notice.
Team Captains: It
is your responsibility to let your players and all attending
fans know about the No Smoking Rule. The school districts
have a strict No Tobacco Policy and SBLeague will
fully cooperate to enforce that policy.
Players and Divisions:
All players now have to stay
within their divisions,
this includes Copper and Single-A players, team captains,
managers, etc. No Exceptions.
Uniforms:
All teams are now required to have
matching
uniforms. Jerseys have to be
identical in color (shorts may be a different color but a
technical foul will be assessed). Taped numbers are not
allowed. No uniform/no number means no play, NO EXCEPTIONS.
